What is Oriental Series?
It's a deeper look at Oriental Dance. Think of it as a structured education that saves you time and money trying to figure it all out on your own.
There are 3 courses per year - Winter, Summer, Autumn. Each course is 6-10 weeks long. Each class is 1.5 hours.
Focus on your journey and constant improvement. It will require your hard work.

- Explore Oriental styles - Khaleeji, Saidi, Roman Havasi, Shaabi, Dabke, Iraqi and other Folk dances. Learn characteristics for each regional style.
- The freeze - Push past your mental or dancing blocks.
- Focus on feeling - No more 'faking it', feel secure with why you do the movements and how to do them.
- Constructive feedback - Present your researched dance piece at the end of each course and get immediate feedback to help you grow.

Yes! This class is for intermediate level+ performers and competitors.
So if you like to get on stage, This is for you. The level of teaching is to a high international standard. Every dancer is different with your own needs and goals. Identify what your goals are at the beginning of the course and tell Tevec so that you can track your progress. It's not a typical weekly class. Each course has a theme and we build upon and layer the theme week by week. Learn regional Arabic and Turkish styles, folk dances, improvisation and dance to a musician on 'music week' plus guest teachers. Think of it as Oriental Dance education for serious dancers. You'll showcase your learning at the end of the course in front of the class. Learn to create with a professional mindset. Tevec will share her own secrets, tips and mistakes with you. Every school and teacher has their own style of teaching. No one is right or wrong. We're all different, that's all.
Levels 1 - 4 teach you the foundations of belly dance in a step by step approach. Oriental Series classes are intermediate+ level for performers and competitors. Foundation movements are not broken down. The teaching pace is fast and intense. This is for you if you:
Who it's not for: If you've not completed Level 4 elsewhere or attended belly dance classes for at least 3 years, please continue your training with another school.
