It's a deeper look at Oriental Dance and its fusions. Think of it as a structured education that saves you time and money trying to figure it all out on your own. It's an in person studio class only. Pre-pandemic, there were 3 courses per year - Winter, Summer, Autumn. Each course is 6-10 weeks long. Each class is 1.5 hours. Focus on your journey and constant improvement. Is this an advanced class?
Yes! This class is for intermediate level+ performers and competitors.
So if you like to get on stage, This is for you. The level of teaching is to a high international standard. Every dancer is different with your own needs and goals. Identify what your goals are at the beginning of the course and tell Tevec so that you can track your progress. It's not a typical weekly class. Each course has a theme and we build upon and layer the theme week by week. Learn regional Arabic and Turkish styles, folk dances, improvisation and dance to a musician on 'music week' plus guest teachers. Think of it as Oriental Dance education for serious dancers. You'll showcase your learning at the end of the course in front of the class. Learn to create with a professional mindset. Tevec will share her own secrets, tips and mistakes with you. Can I find this course online?
No. This content's exclusive to the Oriental Series in a face-to-face studio environment.

Every school and teacher has their own style of teaching. No one is right or wrong. We're all different, that's all.
Levels 1 - 4 teach you the foundations of belly dance in a step by step approach. Oriental Series classes are intermediate+ level for performers and competitors who have strong foundations. Foundation movements are not broken down. The teaching pace is fast and intense. This is for you if you:
Who it's not for: If you've not completed Level 4 elsewhere or attended belly dance classes for at least 3 years, please continue your training with another school. We'd love to have you when you are confident with your foundation belly dance moves and props. i can't make all the classes. what should i do?

The 10 week course is £180 early bird until 31.08.2024 and £200 standard price from 01.09.2024 onwards.

How long are the classes?
The first course starts Tuesday 24th September 2024 and is 10 weeks long with a performance on Saturday 15th February 2024.

IS there an opportunity to perform?
Yes, there are opportunities to perform. We can't wait to see you put everything you learn into action.
1. Rouh Arabi, London Liverpool street (November 2024) 2. Azad Kaan show, London (February 2025) 6 dancers will be chosen from the Oriental Series course to perform at the Azad Kaan show. 6 dancers will be chosen based on most improved, song variety, commitment, costuming and level of readiness for stage. Dancers not selected should not be disheartened as there is limited capacity at the event. Tevec will encourage you and point you to perform at other haflas/shows. |
